July 12, 2018 – Over 90 applications have been narrowed down to 11 semifinalists in the national search for the next DCCC college president.
On May 3, 2018, Davidson County Community College’s Board of Trustees launched a national search for the fourth college president in DCCC history. Over 90 applicants responded by submitting their qualifications and accompanying required documents. This unusually high number of applicants is testimony to DCCC’s national reputation as an innovative and growing institution.
Upon review of applications, the search committee narrowed the field of candidates to 11 semifinalists. These candidates are required to submit additional information and will be scheduled for phone interviews.
At the completion of candidate phone interviews, the search committee will again narrow the field to three to five finalists. The committee will then invite the finalists to visit the college for in-person interviews and an opportunity to get to know the DCCC community.
The college anticipates announcing the next president of the college in October 2018. For more information about the college and the search, visit the website at DavidsonCCC.edu/PresidentialSearch
