Do you need placement testing
or are you exempt?

Five areas of testing:

Reading, Sentence Skills, Arithmetic, Algebra & Computer Skills

1. Are you a high school graduate with a high school transcript less than 5 years old?  If so and you have an un-weighted GPA of 2.6 or greater, you may be exempt from placement testing.  Please submit your high school transcript for review to your Enrollment Counselor for determination.  Transcripts that show grades from the first semester senior year or the final grades from the senior year will assist your counselor in determining which tests you may be exempt from.

2. Have you taken the SAT or ACT in the past 5 years?  If you did and you scored any of the below scores or higher, you would be exempt from that section of the placement test:

3. Have you taken a high school or college level computer class with a grade of an A, B or C?  If so, contact your Enrollment Counselor to determine if this will exempt from the computer skills test

4. Have you taken college credits in English or Math?  If so, contact your Enrollment Counselor to determine if this will exempt from reading, sentence skills, arithmetic or algebra
